2015 Ford Fusion
The 2015 Ford Fusion is undeniably a stylish, fun to drive and athletic sedan. The manufacturers have put in a great amount of detail in this vehicle. There is hardly anything to complain about the exterior but the interior, to say the least, is not as impressive as some of the other features. Let’s dig down deep and discover what this vehicle has to offer.
What makes the 2015 Ford Fusion an impressive vehicle? Its bigger wheels with higher specs trim levels, more chrome, elegant headlights, shapely body and big grille – and that too in the basic trim level. Ford Fusion leaves behind almost all the competitors like generic Camry, Accord, and Altima in this regard. The vehicle, however, is long and low which gives a unique shape to the body but affects negatively the head room and visibility to some extent. Despite the tough, sporty looks, Ford Fusion doesn’t lack a great deal when it comes to driving experience and comfort. With inspiring chassis, strong breaks and advanced steering, the vehicle is almost fit for any type of terrains.
There is a lot of plastic and fabric to be seen in the interior, which is not of very high quality. In higher trim levels, the interior is much more improved with wood trim, attractive leather seats, contrasting colors and lots of high-end electronics. Room at the front is pretty good but a little tight if you are sitting at the back. With thick windshield pillars, the visibility gets affected too. To sum it up, the interior of 2015 Ford Fusion is not as impressive as the exterior and competitors like Altima are one step ahead in this department. The multimedia system in base level is also what early testers have complained about. It has everything a modern system should have but it’s confusing and it’s largely due to the cluster of tiny buttons and a small screen. When it comes to storing cargo, Ford Fusion gives an ample space of 16.0 cubic feet, which makes Fusion pretty much an all-purpose vehicle.
When it comes to engine, 2.5-liter, four cylinder engine is standard in Fusion SE. It is capable of producing 175 hp. Other engine options are 2.0-liter turbocharged (EcoBoost) which produces 231 hp. If you want to save on fuel consumption then 2.0-liter hybrid engine is your thing, which can also produce an impressive 141 hp. The base engine gives around 22 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on highways. Fusion Hybrid is all about being fuel efficient as it gives 44 mpg in the city and around 42 mpg on highways.
Moving on to safety, the vehicle gets a 5-star rating in all departments. It has lots of airbags, inflatable seat belts, blind spot warning, automatic parking assist, cruise control, rear camera and more. The basic Ford Fusion is available for $23,225, which is pretty reasonable considering the drive quality and other modern functions it is fitted with.
