2015 Infiniti Q40 – Power for Less
The all-new 2015 Infiniti Q40 is the continuation of the G37, basically the same vehicle with a different name. The vehicle has come out yet again after almost a year gap. As far as the standard equipment are concerned, they are all the same, however, this time around the optional features are rather less. Packages like interior accent and performance wheel have all been taken out; also the vehicle no longer offers manual transmission.
As mentioned above, the Q40 is the continuation of the older version G37. And make no mistake; there is a lot to admire about this vehicle. The all-new Q40 offers a powerful V6 engine with incredible sporty handling which makes it one of the exciting cars to drive. Also, the price tag it comes with is certainly not going to disappoint you. It is a lot cheaper than many famous luxury sedans in the market. So, it certainly saves you a lot of money.
Despite the fact that it is one of the affordable sedans in the market, the 2015 Infiniti Q40 certainly has its drawbacks. Unfortunately, the vehicle fails to meet the standards of the year 2015. It is certainly not as luxurious or spectacular as it used to be. Talking about the material quality, it is only satisfactory and does impress a great deal. In fact, other basic sedans offer a better ride. Although, V6 is one of the noticeable features of the vehicle, the ones offered by the competitors are a lot more efficient. Also, the engine seems to make a lot of noise, which clearly suggests that it lacks in quality when compared to its competitors.
It was easier for the vehicle to camouflage the bad stuff but when it came with plenty of optional features, but this isn’t the case anymore since the options available with the latest model are close to nothing. However, if you are looking for more options, you are better off buying the Infiniti’s Q50 or some other sedan.
The all-new 2015 Infiniti Q40 comes with a 3.7-L V6 that is capable of producing up to 328 HP and the torque of 269 lb-ft. The standard transmission offered with the vehicle is a seven-speed automatic along with all-wheel-drive. When the vehicle was put to test, the vehicle went up to 60mph mark from 0 in about 5.5 seconds, which is quicker than its rivals. According to EPA, the fuel economy estimates are 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway when driving on rear wheels, whereas, on an all-wheel-drive, the vehicle returns 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. These figures aren’t that bad, however, if you compare them with the rivals, the Q40 is certainly behind.
There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that the 2015 Infiniti Q40 is quick and it is certainly going to get your heart pumping as you put a foot on the accelerator, but as mentioned above, the engine noise can put you off as it gets too noisy at higher speeds.
