2015 Kia Picanto

2015 Kia Picanto is a tiny car which is big at the same time. Now how is that possible? It is tiny because of its shape and big because it is extremely crucial for Kia in order to compete in the fast-paced industry. This model perfectly complements other, bigger models from the company like Sportage and Cee’d. While Picanto is a cute little car but it has missed on getting the 5-star rating. Let’s discover in detail what 2015 Kia Picanto has to offer.

We are not trying to find out whether KIA can make good enough cars for the cities – because everybody knows they can. What we are trying to figure out is what new 2015 Kia Picanto has to offer. The big bumpers, which stretches forward is a great change when it come to the exterior. The monogram of the company fits nicely in a bigger grille, which adds to the style of the car. It is a more spacious car as KIA has made it 600mm longer (enough for more leg space for the passenger). The little 14 inch wheels may seem a little off at first, but it is nothing to complain about since this is one thing that makes the vehicle a true city car.

Moving on to the interior, the first thing you will notice is an elegantly designed steering, highlighted in silver. The material used is also much more improved than the previous models. It gives you a nice leather-like feel. The switchgear is basic to say the least, there are not many buttons and if you’re looking for navigation controls, you’ll be disappointed. But whatever buttons the car has, they all seem like nicely fitted. All seats, especially one for the driver is designed with purpose. It doesn’t let the driver sink in like sofas but offers a more upright posture, which in turn improves the visibility. 2015 Kia Picanto is not an ideal on longer routes but definitely a car worth considering on shorter journeys.

When you talk about these small cars with economical engines there is a certain joy to be had when you squeeze the last drop of gas out of the tank. 2015 Kia Picanto offers just that. Its 1.0-liter, 3 cylinder petrol engine gives 38.1 mpg (combined), which is good in every sense but falls well short of the company’s claimed 67.3 mpg mark. Kia Picanto produces a power of 69 hp with 70 lb-ft of torque. With its 14-inch rims, the car offers a pretty good control and handling. As long as you’re driving the car at average speeds, you will not have anything to complain about but at higher speeds, the car tends to go unsettled and a little bumpy.

2015 Kia Picanto costs around $12,000 and with such a price tag in mind – it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the vehicle has lived up to its expectations.
