2015 TOYOTA Corolla – A Car For Everyone

If you have been using corolla for a long time, you will surely be surprised by its latest model.  After some major changes in the model last year, the vehicle has now come up with a number of updates including, changes in the back seat, better fuel economy, interior with some high-tech features and latest equipment.

If you are thinking that the 2015 Toyota Corolla has not remained intact with its roots, you are wrong. There is still plenty about the vehicle which reflects that it has stayed loyal with its past. The controls available are all put in sensibly and it still has the smoothness in its ride. With all these changes, Toyota hopes to attract more people towards it.

However, the 2015 Toyota Corolla might not stand out as the best. Let’s just say that the vehicle would get eliminated in the very first round if it was competing in a reality show. It is just not as appealing and eye catching as the other vehicles. Besides that, the exterior isn’t all that fancy either. It is a vehicle that will get the job done. However, you can’t expect it to deliver better than its competitors.

The latest corolla comes with four trim levels including, Corolla L, Corolla LE, Corolla LE Eco and Corolla S.

The engine offered with the latest corolla is a 1.8-L four-cylinder that is available in two separate versions. Excluding the LE Eco, the engine produces up to 132 HP and the torque of 128 lb-ft on every model. With the LE Eco version, the same engine produces about 140 horsepower and the torque of 126 lb-ft.

The transmission offered with the base version of the 2015 Toyota Corolla, L is a six-speed manual, however, automatic transmission is available as an optional feature. There is also an option of CVT available with other trims.

When the latest corolla was put to test, the LE Eco version went up to 60 mph mark from 0 in about 9.2 seconds. These figures can easily be compared with that of Honda Civic which is loaded with a CVT; however it stays a complete second behind when compared with Mazda 3.

The fuel economy estimates are different for every trim. If you go for the base version , you get 27 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway while driving with four-speed automatic, whereas with the manual six-speed, it returns 28 in the city and 37 on the highway. Driving with CVT in the LE, the vehicle returns about 29 mpg in the city and 38 on the highway and almost similar for the S trim with 29 mpg in the city and 37 on the highway. However, the trim that stands out is the LE Eco, with an incredible fuel economy figures, returning about 30 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway with the standard features, and with the Premium or Plus, it returns 30 mpg and 40 mpg in the city and highway respectively.
