The 2015 Hyundai Azera Received A Facelift And A Lot More Equipment
It is a widely known fact that Hyundai spent 450 million bucks developing the Azera Sedan. It is not their premium or top offering, but with the style of a really refined sedan and with the execution of a premium car, the 2015 Hyundai Azera certainly represents one of the best offerings in the full size sedan segment.
Revealing it back in 2011, Hyundai knew that the 2015 model had to be different, updated and modernized. That is why the 2015 Hyundai Azera received an updated new front end and a sharper back end with the styling definitely more in line with the trends of today. Of course, there are not any radical changes here, but Hyundai did what it could to provide the 2015 Azera with a fresh face and equipment you expect to find on full sized sedans. By this, we mean that the car received LED daily lights and they are integrated in the place of the fog lights from the model before. Also, the shape of the headlights remained the same, but the soft upper end which can act as a LED day light as well is something many will find highly appealing.
The handsome sedan is proportionally built and it is hard to spot any other changes on the outside. Of course, there are wheels with different design than before, but that is really it.
As expected, not much change has been done on the inside either. The 2015 Hyundai Azera still features a highly refined cabin with decorative elements that set it apart from other similar cars in this segment. Some reporters even recognize that Azera fitted and finished inside is on par with the one on the Equus, but there are some concerns for the inside that Hyundai will almost certainly look into when they start with the development of the new generation. That is nothing too important, but some of the plastic elements and plastic decorations inside should be a bit more upscale.
As this is a fairly large car, its stance and bold styling make it dominate the roads even beside some of the newer premium competition. However, Hyundai is not interested in chasing after the premium. That is why they offer only one engine for the Azera. A robust and highly powerful 3.3 liter V6 with 293 HP and 255 lb ft of torque offers plenty of power for the sedan. 0-60 mph time is slashed to 6.7 seconds thanks in part to slightly reworked six speed transmission and the engine can return 23 mpg combined which is the average for the class.
Most notable changes, however, can be seen on the equipment list. Top notch Premium trim level has been removed with its content transferred to the Limited trim level. Also, many interesting and highly sophisticated equipment previously found in the Limited level found its way into the entry level car. That is why even the entry level 2015 Azera is equipped with 18-inch alloys, automatic headlights, blind-spot monitoring system, keyless entry, automatic climate control, leather, powered front seats, Bluetooth, an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, a rear view camera, Hyundai’s Blue Link, HD radio and many others.
