The 2015 Hyundai ix35 Is A Wonderful Farewell To A Well Rounded Vehicle
Fruits of continuous investments are slowly starting to pay out for the Hyundai. Since they’ve came to market in the US they were trying to make powerful and solid foundations and perfect the vehicles they were selling and the last generation of their cars has really been a major success in the whole world. Among them, easily the most successful and most important car they’ve revealed is the Hyundai ix35 (also known as the Tucson outside Europe). Revealed in 2009, the Hyundai ix35 employed the latest fluidic sculpture design language and now, after six years on the market the 2015 Hyundai ix35 still rocks strong. True, the new version has been revealed, but the 2015 ix35 has a lot to offer regardless of its age. It’s fairly nice looking car, it has roomy interior, efficient and easy to maintain engines and it is among the most affordable vehicles in its class.
The 2015 Hyundai ix35 did not change much in comparison with the version from 2014 model year. The car remained the same, as well as all the enhancements made a year before. Basically, that means that the 2015 Hyundai ix35 is equipped with a nicely rounded exterior decorated with bigger wheels, LED front and rear lights and slightly changed grille and bumpers. So, the aggressiveness has been enhanced, the stance is more up to standards of modern drivers and the small crossover as a whole became much more in line with the similar vehicles of today. The truth is that the car lost its line with the newly arrived models. It’s cramped rear seats, limited cargo space and rather underpowered base engines aren’t the best choice out there. However, its quirky styling, robust and high quality interior with the addition of rather impressively dependable engines and suspension make the Hyundai ix35 one of the most interesting offers on market today.
The 2015 Hyundai ix35 came with new transmission introduced for the 2014 model. Apart from receiving six speeds, the transmission has been adapted for use on the two liter CRDi diesel engine developing 136 HP. Interestingly, the most powerful 181 HP CRDi has been discounted, thus making the 136 HP engine the most powerful one in offer for the Hyundai ix35. Also, the car can be had with a 1.6 liter gasoline engine or with a 1.7 liter CRDi. Both are available only with the FWD models and both bring IGS (Stop/Start system), thus improving fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels.
Despite getting “greener” equipment, the 2015 Hyundai ix35 received a rather extensive equipment such as 18-inch alloys, Bi-Xenon lights, chrome decoration, keyless entry system and slide panoramic sunroof as standard. Of course, this equipment can be found on the most expensive models, but, nevertheless, it is rather impressive how packed this small crossover can become. Interestingly, the same car is available in the US, but it is known there as Tucson. The basic layout is the same but the changes are noticeable all over the equipment level and in the engine department. The 2015 Hyundai Tucson is available with two liter or 2.4 liter petrol engine developing 164 HP and 182 HP.
