The 2015 Nissan Murano Is A Concept Car Like SUV With Exceptionally Luxurious Interior

Nissan officials said that the average age of Murano buyers will reach number 45. So, what do 45-year-old males actually need!? Nice and plush interior, a lot of equipment, looks that make a bold statement on the road and an engine which is powerful enough for hauling some gear, but is not a muscle car gas guzzler. The 2015 Nissan Murano certainly tries to deliver that and a bit more.

Looking way back to 2003, Nissan revealed a rather interestingly futuristic looking Murano, which looks fine even by today’s standards. They wanted to achieve the look in the new generation vehicle and the design of the thing is definitely something eye catching that will attract attention of anyone witnessing its presence on the roads. The designers really had some interesting ideas, including the idea to try to integrate a floating roof look. What does that mean? Well, the roof is supposed to look like it floats. The additional black plastic trim at the back of the side windows should make the upper part of the roof look unconnected with the lower end of the vehicle. We let you be the judge on have they done it. On the other hand, the aerodynamic efficiency was one of the most important characteristics the designers had to get right. That is why the front end and the back end have a swoopy feel to them. The end result is the aerodynamic efficiency of 0.31 Cd which is astonishing for car of this size and this dimensions.

2015 Nissan Murano Exterior

The exterior look definitely has that concept car look to it, but we suspect that it will remain this attractive and catchy for as long as the first gen car. This one somehow lacks the presence of the first Murano.

The interior looks luxurious as well. At the top of the line trim, drivers and passengers can enjoy wonderful seats (apparently Nissan worked with NASA – yes, that NASA – to develop them) and exceptional leather covered surfaces on the inside. The space inside is also sufficient. Actually, it is reported that the boot is the biggest in its class which is great considering that cars like the Ford Edge and the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport are the ones competing with the 2015 Nissan Murano.

As ever, Nissan is also fond of providing the clients and drivers with slightly more engaging driving characteristics than you would normally expect from a car of this size and of this type. That is why the nice and powerful V6 petrol engine still grazes the space under the bonnet. With the CVT transmission, now set up to mimic the behavior of the automatic transmissions that actually changes gears, and 260 HP, the Murano isn’t exactly a runner, but it can provide nice driving characteristics with powerful enough acceleration and fairly decent fuel economy.

The 2015 Nissan Murano is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting SUVs in its price segment. If nothing, it offers exceptionally luxurious interior which can be personalized in many ways. Also, it provides wonderful space inside and the looks that will be “young” for many years to come. Even if you aren’t a 45-year-old chap, buying one will not be a mistake.
