The New and Improved – 2015 Infiniti QX50
The vehicle in review was once known as the EX37. Apart from the name very little has changed since this car made its debut in 2008. The SUV is extremely car like and stands out from the rest of the lot due to its amazing sporty handling and light feel. There are not many negatives about the vehicle but what is disappointing is the cargo room. In short, if you are one of those people who like more sports and less utility – then 2015 Infiniti QX50 is just the vehicle for you.
Many fans call the vehicle “a forgotten crossover” but this is mainly because of the name change. 2015 Infiniti QX50 was the first of its kind; the first ever luxurious crossover. Due to marketing failure and the fact that the vehicle looks more like a hatchback and not an SUV resulted in dropping number of units sold each year. But this doesn’t mean that our vehicle in review is not worth buying. There are many things in this year’s all-new 2015 Infiniti QX50 that will attract the buyers.
Infiniti has added a good 3.2 inches to the wheelbase, which has changed the shape of the vehicle a bit – giving it a more SUV like shape. The new shape is already out in the Chinese market and is doing a pretty good job as compared to what happened with the last release. The few extra inches have added to leg room and cargo space, which is not going to be a problem in this year’s Infiniti QX50. Many test drivers found the front seats pretty relaxing but the seats at the back still has more room for improvement and less for cargo and passengers.
Other specs which come as standard featured include navigation and climate control, rear view camera, satellite radio, USB port, six-speaker studio, push button start and a few others. Optional features include Bose stereo system, blind spot warning, cruise control, around view camera which gives a perfect 360 degrees panoramic views with the help of several cameras…and many more.
The model is likely to be carrying a 3.7 liter V-6 engine which will produce an amazing power of 325 HP. The vehicle is also likely to have a 7 speed automatic transmission as a standard feature with an option of having a rear or a 4-wheel drive.
2015 Infiniti QX50’s fuel economy is something the manufacturers should be proud of as it gives 17 mpg in the city and close to 25 mpg on the highways. The vehicle also looks very nice when fitted with an original 19 inch wheel, which adds to the sporty look of all-new 2015 Infiniti QX50. The price of the car starts from $32,000, which is not that high considering similar models from other manufacturers. Let’s see if adding a few inches in the base design can work for Infiniti this time.
